Not quite Nigeria

Not quite Nigeria but nearly as hot.

Today we were practising at coping with heat.  I don't know what the temperature was during the afternoon but when we left the house at 9:30am it was already up to about 27C.  We headed west, past Lochcarron and up the Bealach na ba ( Pass of the Cattle) which leads to Applecross.  It was an absolutely gorgeous day and James and Ruth were extremely glad we found a lochan for a bit of wild swimming.  Even Fraser took his shoes and socks off and went paddling.

It was a lovely break amidst the busy-ness of packing up the house and visiting other churches to speak about what we're doing.  Last Monday Fraser and I were down in Glasgow (after an emergency stop in Pitlochry to buy summer clothes, heat takes us by surprise!) on Tuesday it was Edinburgh.  There's so much to do; we're really grateful for days like these.
